Nervous? You’re in the Majority.

If you are nervous about your first wax, you are in good company. A large share of the men who walk through our door are doing it for the first time, and almost all of them are nervous before and relieved after.

The anticipation is the hard part. The wax itself rarely lives up to the dread. Here is why.

The build-up is worse than the wax

You have spent days imagining it. Your brain has rehearsed the worst version on a loop. That is normal. It is also wrong.

The first pull is the one you have catastrophised. Once it is done, your body realises it is survivable, and the rest settles into something far more manageable than you pictured. Men routinely walk out saying the same thing. That was not as bad as I thought.

What actually happens

You arrive and meet your therapist. Always a male therapist. You go into a private room and the door closes. One client per room. No shared space, no audience.

You undress to what the treatment needs. Your therapist explains what they are doing before they do it, applies the wax in sections, and works through it methodically. For a full Back, Sack and Crack, about 45 minutes. You walk out smooth with an aftercare card.

No surprises. If you want to know anything before you commit, just ask.

Zero judgment. This is routine for us.

Whatever you are worried about, your therapist has seen it many times over. Your body, your hair, your reason for booking, none of it registers as unusual. To them it is a Tuesday.

That is the quiet benefit of an experienced team. There is no awkwardness on their side, which is what takes the awkwardness out of yours. We have done this since 2014. You are not the first nervous man through the door and you will not be the last.

The hygiene, so you can relax

New clients often worry about cleanliness without saying it. So here it is up front. No double-dipping. A fresh spatula goes into the wax once and never returns. Rooms are sanitised between every client. Clean surfaces, fresh couch roll, sealed product.

How to make the first one easier

After your first wax

You will wonder why you waited. Most first-timers rebook on the way out. We send you home with aftercare instructions, covered in full in our aftercare guide, and the headline rule is simple. Keep it clean, skip heat and friction for a day or two, do not pick.

If you are ready to make it routine, the 12-month membership takes the cost decision off the table every visit.

Book the first one

The nerves end the moment you walk out. Book online, or call 0161 564 4406. We will talk you through it.
